At the UAB Center for Palliative and Supportive Care, our vision is to continue to transform care for patients and families with serious illness.  Building on our strengths, we hope to expand our clinical programs, accelerate our research efforts and broaden our reach in palliative care education. 

Private philanthropic investment from patients and families, community friends, corporations and foundations enables the Center to provide patient and family-centered care to all those in need; fund innovative training programs for a diverse set of learners, and conduct research focused on better detection, treatment and prevention of symptoms in patients with serious or complex illness.
