UAB and Children's are leading research institutions in the country in the top 20 in NIH funding. There are various opportunities for research available -from bench to simulation to advocacy. We have a research conference every July to present faculty opportunities to residents. If you present at a national meeting, the department will reimburse you for the conference and conference fees. We also have $1000 Founder's Fund grants available every May for new innovative educational endeavors in curriculum or outcome research the focus on Residency Education and Advocacy.
