The Office of Research Services is at the center of the Department of PM&R research activites. With more than 25 years of experience, Research Services facilitates grant submissions and management as well as disseminates research findings to promote the utilization of research outcomes by consumers. This effort is continually accomplished through the use of different reference tools and formats as well as a variety of dissemination mechanisms to meet the varied needs and requests of consumers and professionals. Research Services disseminates information via the The University of Alabama at Birmingham Spinal Cord Injury Model System (UAB-SCIMS) and the The University of Alabama at Birmingham Traumatic Brain Injury Model System (UAB-TBIMS).
