Emily Hammond, Project Coordinator
Emily Hammond, Project Coordinator, Psychiatric Clinic Research Office, has been selected as the March 2013 UAB Department of Psychiatry Employee of the Month. Emily was nominated for productivity and outstanding achievement. It was apparent when Emily joined the staff in July 2011 that she would become an outstanding employee. Emily’s attention to detail, willingness to learn complicated protocols, and her eagerness to take on assignments is most impressive. Emily’s grasp of the mechanics of the research enterprise coupled with her dedication to hard work is the reason she was selected to spearhead a project validating suicide assessments which has subsequently been acclaimed by experts in the field at a national level. Emily quickly grasped the ethical principles and guidelines for the protection of human subjects in research and she uses these principles consistently in dealing with clients.
Emily is consistently trustworthy, professional and a pleasure to be around. Emily’s commitment to excellence makes her an invaluable asset to the department.
Please join the Department in congratulating Emily!
