Dr. Kim's current research interest is to establish personalized medicine guided by non-invasive multi-modal imaging techniques including diffusion weighted imaging (DWI), dynamic contrast-enhanced MR imaging (DCE-MRI), and Ultrasound perfusion imaging. Dr. Kim's research has been published in high-impact factor journals like Radiology, Molecular Cancer Therapeutics, Clinical Cancer Research, and Journal of Nuclear Medicine. His distinguished studies have been awarded by AAPM (American Association of Physicists in Medicine), AACR (American Association for Cancer Research), and AMI (Academy of Molecular Imaging) as well as UAB. Dr. Kim is leading projects related to breast, pancreatic, and brain cancer studies, supported by internal and external grants.
