angel Jacqueline Angel, M.D.
PGY-2

Dr. Angel is a native Tennessean who graduated with honors from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Biology, with an Applied Mathematics minor.

After Dr. Angel realized that she would not be satisfied in becoming a dentist, she entered medical school in 2009 at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Medicine in Memphis.

She completed her transitional year at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.

She enjoys reading and traveling, as well as a multitude of outdoor and physical activities.

beasley

M. Melissa Beasley, M.D.

PGY-2

Dr. Beasley earned her medical degree at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine in Lexington where she was in the second class of their very competitive BS-MD program, which enabled her, as a top student, to combine college and medical school coursework to graduate in 7 years.

Dr. Beasley studied abroad in Australia, was the recipient of a UK COM scholarship for her 4 years of medical school, served on the Executive Council while being one of her class representatives for the Medical Student Government Association, and served as a College of Medicine ambassador.

Dr. Beasley completed her transitional year at Riverside in Newport News, Virginia.

cason

Daniel E. Cason, M.D.
PGY-2

Dr. Cason completed medical school at Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans after he had earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology, with a minor in Biological Science, from Louisiana State University where he graduated cum laude.

Dr. Cason completed his transitional year at Oschner Clinic Foundation in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Dr. Cason’s hobbies and interests include intramural sports, golf, running, nutrition, cooking, hunting, fishing, traveling, and the Mardi Gras Krewe of Thoth.

clayton

Nicholas Clayton, M.D.
PGY-2

Dr. Clayton graduated summa cum laude from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology; due to his academic excellence, he was on the Dean’s List (2004-2005), on the Chancellor’s List (2006-2008), and he was recognized further by his selection to the Golden Key National Honor Society.

Dr. Clayton completed his transitional year at Louisiana State University in New Orleans.

Dr. Clayton’s hobbies and interests involve cooking, golf, and jogging.

gupta Saurabh Gupta, M.D.
PGY-2

Dr. Gupta earned his medical degree at the University of Louisville School of Medicine in 2013 with Honors. 

He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota, where his interest in research continued through medical school, after working at Mayo Clinic doing research as an undergraduate.

Dr. Gupta completed his transitional year here at UAB.

Dr. Gupta’s hobbies and interests includes playing competitive basketball and weight training.

Christina Huang, M.D.
PGY-2

After graduating in 2008 from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, Dr. Huang earned her medical degree at the Medical College of Georgia at Georgia Health Sciences University where she received the CSSP Research Award.

Dr. Huang completed her transitional year at the University of South Alabama.

Dr. Huang enjoys playing the piano, swimming, playing badminton, reading, listening to music, and spending times with her little brother and her Goddaughter.

lambertsen  Zachary Lambertsen, M.D.
PGY-2

After earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at the University of Arkansas, Dr. Lambertsen completed his medical degree at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Medicine in Little Rock.

Dr. Lambertsen completed his transitional year at Riverside in Newport News, Virginia.

Dr. Lambertsen is an avid sports fan, with college football being his favorite. He also enjoys movies, music, and live comedy.

andypatel  Anand Patel, M.D.

Dr. Patel obtained his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry, Cellular, and Molecular Biology from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville graduating summa cum laude. He completed medical school at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Medicine in Memphis where he continued his research and was awarded an NIH research scholarship.

Dr. Patel completed his transitional year at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

In the midst of competing in multiple marathon races, Dr. Patel enjoys traveling, scuba diving, soccer, swimming, and surfing.

Dr. Sardari obtained his Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Florida. He graduated medical school from the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine in Tampa, Florida.

He completed his transitional year at George Washington University in D.C.

Dr. Sardari’s hobbies are digital SLR photography, hiking, sports, and kayaking while his interests include economics, aerospace technology and motorsports.

Dr. Triche was a 2008 summa cum laude graduate of Loyola University in New Orleans where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences. He continued forward to complete his medical degree at Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans.

Dr. Triche completed his transitional year at the Louisiana State University in New Orleans.

Dr. Triche enjoys spending time with his wife and two dogs, while his hobbies include playing golf and sports fishing.
