Postdoctoral/Residency Position in Diagnostic Imaging
A two-year postdoctoral fellowship position in medical imaging is available in the Physics and Engineering Division of the Department of Radiology, University of Alabama Medical Center. The position begins July 1, 2011. It is open to individuals who are US Citizens or have permanent resident status, who have recently received a Ph.D. degree in physics, medical physics, computer science, or engineering, and are eligible to take Part 1 of the American Board of Radiology Radiological Physics Exam. Fellows participate in clinical support, teaching, imaging research and instrumentation development as training for a career in Medical Physics. The UAB Department of Radiology performs approximately 500,000 exams yearly, utilizing a full range of diagnostic and nuclear medicine imaging equipment including a PET/CT scanner. Five faculty and two fellows work in the Division. All five faculty members are diplomats of the American Board of Radiology.
