The Lowe Conference is an annual retreat for current and former fellows, and current faculty of the UAB Division of Clinical Immunology and Rheumatology.  The event provides an informal venue in which participants present and discuss ongoing research and clinical care of rheumatic diseases. This conference is sponsored by the UAB Division of Clinical Immunology and Rheumatology and by the UAB Division of Continuing Medical Education.

The Lowe Conference is supported by a contribution from Jane Knight Lowe, a longtime Huntsville, AL resident and civic leader who died in 1997, at the age of 95. Her long time relationship with UAB stemmed from the medical care she received from Gene V. Ball, MD, Jane Knight Lowe Professor of Medicine Emeritus.
