The specific objectives of the SIBS Undergraduate Research Program are as follows:

  • To give college undergraduates a hands-on educational experience in biomedical sciences

  • To promote awareness of the major basic and clinical research areas in the biomedical sciences

  • To give college undergraduates the opportunity to interact with basic science researchers and clinical scientists

  • To allow a student an insider's look at the medical and graduate programs of UAB
