Surgical Research Fellowship
The University of Alabama offers several Surgical Research Fellowships each year. The fellowship is a 2-year program of study performed under the direction of the surgical faculty. Surgical Research Fellows begin their research after the PGY-2 or PGY-3 year with the decision to perform research being made in collaboration with a faculty mentor and the program director. In addition, all funding for research is provided through NIH training grants, corporate educational grants, or departmental resources.
