The UAB Section of Vascular Surgery and Endovascular Therapy treats patients with a wide variety of vascular diseases and performs operative procedures including:

  • Comprehensive vascular medical evaluation including risk-factor assessment and non-operative options
  • Vascular ultrasound and noninvasive arterial testing
  • Diagnostic angiography and venography
  • Balloon angioplasty and stenting
  • Percutaneous laser and mechanical atherectomy
  • Catheter-directed thrombolysis and thrombectomy
  • Endovascular aortic aneurysm repair
  • Endovascular thoracic aortic stent graft
  • Thoracic and abdominal aortic bypass grafting
  • Renal and mesenteric revascularization
  • Lower-extremity bypass grafting
  • Carotid endarterectomy and bypass
  • Carotid stenting
  • Minimally invasive vein procedures
