Melike Dizbay-Onat, a doctoral student in Materials Science & Engineering and Interdisciplinary Engineering was awarded 2 scholarships this past week from two separate professional organizations.

1. The American Society for Safety Engineers (ASEE), Richard Buckley Doctoral scholarship for $2,000. Listing of Awardees (See end of the listing)

2. American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) for $1,000 is an organization of professionals dedicated to the anticipation, recognition, evaluation, and control of
environmental factors arising in or from the workplace that may result in injury, illness, impairment or affect the well-being of workers and members of the community.
The AIHA Scholarship is awarded to a qualified graduate or undergraduate student to help develop the specialized knowledge and skills necessary to perform this important work.
