Michael R. Waldrum, M.D., M.S.c., M.B.A., CEO of UAB Hospital, was recently elected to serve as a board member for the Alabama Hospital Association. Waldrum will represent hospitals in the Birmingham area. The Alabama Hospital Association, based in Montgomery, is a statewide trade organization that represents more than 100 hospitals and numerous other health care providers by offering membership services designed to enhance the provision of health care in Alabama. Waldrum has been CEO of UAB Hospital and UAB Highlands since 2006. He has been on the medical staff of the hospital since 1995 in the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine.
