Annette Wright, Ph.D., C.R.N.P., assistant professor at the UAB School of Nursing, has received a three-year, $838,190 grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to increase the number of nurses skilled in the advanced management of diabetes in Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi and Tennessee, some of the most needy and underserved states for diabetes care.
