The University of Alabama System Board of Trustees named Richard M. Shewchuk, Ph.D., professor emeritus in the Department of Health Services Administration at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) during its meeting Feb. 8, 2013. Shewchuk joined the UAB faculty in 1986 and has received several academic honors, including the Joseph F. Volker Distinguished Faculty Award in 2008.
