The University of Alabama System Board of Trustees appointed David Pritchard, Ph.D., as professor emeritus of biochemistry and molecular genetics in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics in the UAB Schools of Medicine and Dentistry during its meeting Feb. 4, 2011. Pritchard received his Ph.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles and joined the UAB faculty in 1981.
