The UAB School of Education Department of Human Studies will celebrate Health Education Week on Oct. 21-25 with a series of events:
Monday, Oct. 21 – “Play in the Dirt Again.” This event is a day of service at Jones Valley Teaching Farms from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to raise awareness about healthy foods.
Tuesday, Oct. 22 – “Out & About with ESG.” Members of Eta Sigma Gamma national health education organization will congregate at the Commons and Campus Green for outreach to college students.
Wednesday, Oct. 23 – “Green Walk: Blazing a Trail to Railroad Park.” Students, faculty and staff will gather at the Campus Green at 4:45 p.m. and then trek to Railroad Park for a health education rally and Zumba class.
The School of Education's Health Education Week will feature a service day at Jones Valley Teaching Farms.
