Their goal is to reach the Spanish city of Santiago de Compostela, where the bones of the apostle St. James are said to be buried. Millions of people have traveled this trail for more than 1,000 years, including several UAB students and John K. Moore, Ph.D., associate professor of Foreign Languages.

Smith has directed several important films, including “They’re Just Kids,” a documentary on how children with disabilities can positively affect our lives. She was also senior producer on CNN’s “Soldiers of Peace: A Children’s Crusade,” among others.
