UAB named one of best online Master of Public Health programs

The online Master of Public Health program at UAB was included as one of the best in the nation in a list by OnlineMasters.com.

best masters webThe School of Public Health at the University of Alabama at Birmingham has been listed as having one of the best online Master of Public Health programs in the nation.

OnlineMasters.com released the top online programs for 2018. UAB is among 47 other universities.

“The MPH is a cost-effective degree program that provides students with the skills necessary for developing enterprise solutions for the improvement of the health and well-being of individuals, families, communities and populations,” said Paul Campbell Erwin, M.D., DrPH, dean of UAB’s School of Public Health. “A graduate degree in public health provides students the ability to tackle complicated and thorny health issues along with the tools to create solutions for those issues from a uniquely local and global perspective.”

The website looked at curriculum quality, program flexibility, affordability and graduate outcomes when creating the list. The research organization used data from the National Center for Education Statistics.

The online Master of Public Health program at UAB is available in six different concentrations: Environmental and Occupational Health; Epidemiology; Health Behavior; Health Care Organization and Policy; Maternal and Child Health Policy and Leadership; and Population Health.
