“Arrive Alive: Stop the Texts – Stop the Wrecks!” to be held June 24.

UAB Wellness is conducting “Green Screens” every Friday this summer to help gauge cardiovascular health and provide direction when setting achievable health goals.

The event is sponsored by the UAB Division of Cardiovascular Disease, Department of Medicine and Division of CME.

UAB faculty and alumni will discuss topics in occupational health at this two-day event.

UAB Music presents free summer concerts including a patriotic Fourth of July show, while the Gospel Choir concert offers a taste of the islands.

The conference will feature current trends in the field as they relate to fertility and cancer, radiation therapy, fatigue syndrome, survivorship and palliative care.

UAB’s Alys Stephens Center will present Josh Ritter and the Royal City Band June 29, with the possibility of adding a second show later that night.

The conference and exhibits will focus on developments in defense, power, energy, transportation, infrastructure and emerging applications.

The conference will address model population/system-based interventions and direct client programs and services that are being implemented throughout the United States.

For “The Shrine of the Most Glorious Future,” Wilson’s “followers” will demonstrate their rituals at the show’s free opening reception.
