Dr. John is universally celebrated as the living embodiment of New Orleans’ rich musical heritage. A singer, songwriter, pianist and guitarist, his popular hits include “Right Place Wrong Time” and “Such A Night,” which combine blues, pop and jazz with Zydeco, boogie-woogie and rock ‘n’ roll. Dr. John is at the height of his creative output right now—he recently released two acclaimed recordings, “City That Care Forgot” and “Tribal,” both nominated for Grammys for Best Contemporary Blues Album, which “City” won. The winner of five Grammy awards, Dr. John was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in March 2011.
