The University of Alabama System Board of Trustees approved the establishment of the ROAR Southeast Cancer Foundation Endowed Professorship in Radiation Oncology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) during its meeting Feb. 8, 2013. The Regional Oncology Active Research (ROAR) initiative of the Southeast Cancer Foundation supports radiation oncology research. The professorship will support a researcher working in translational medicine and personalized cancer therapies.
