The University of Alabama System Board of Trustees named Suzanne M. Michalek, Ph.D., as Professor Emerita of Microbiology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) during its meeting April 12, 2013. Michalek, a professor in the Department of Microbiology who earned her doctorate at UAB, joined the university’s Mucosal Immunology Group in 1979.
Michalek also earned her doctorate at UAB.
