UAB holds neurology, neurosurgery symposium

The program features presentations from UAB faculty in epilepsy, Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, chronic pain and stroke.

UAB will hold “Advances in Neurology and Neurosurgery,” a scientific symposium, on Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, at the UAB Alumni House, 1301 10th Avenue South. The program is designed for physicians and other health care providers who care for patients with neurological disorders. The program features presentations from UAB faculty in epilepsy, Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, chronic pain and stroke.

The goal is to inform neurologists, neurosurgeons, internists or geriatricians and associated health care providers with the most current treatment therapies available. 

Cost is $25 for physicians and $10 for residents and other health care professionals. Advanced registration is requested. Fees include course materials, continental breakfast, lunch and refreshments. Contact Karen Fields at 205-934-2818 or karenfields@uab.edu for registration.
