Color Run to benefit UAB Comprehensive Cancer Center

Oak Mountain High School will host the third annual Color Run 5K at Oak Mountain State Park on March 12 to raise money for cancer research at UAB.

color run 2015The Oak Mountain High School Student Government Association is hosting the third annual Color Run at Oak Mountain State Park, with proceeds to solely benefit cancer research at the UAB Comprehensive Cancer Center. The run, held in memory of Donald R. Ellison and Susan A. Power, will be from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, March 12, and the 5K race will start at 9 a.m. Participants will be doused with colorful nontoxic, washable paint during the run.

For participants who preregister, shirts will be provided at registration. Participants who register on the day of the race may bring their own white shirts. Participants 18 and younger must have parents sign a waiver, which will be available on-site.

Oak Mountain State Park is at 200 Terrace Drive in Pelham. For spectators, the park entrance fee is $3 for adults and $1 for children ages 6-11 and seniors ages 62 and older.
