An interdisciplinary UAB research team hopes to learn more about how emotions might keep people from getting enough exercise. 
mexico map2Chris Kyle, Ph.D., associate professor in the UAB Department of Anthropology, recently presented his research on crime in Mexico at a conference for diplomats, foreign policy think tanks and research colleagues in Washington, D.C. The Wilson Center Mexico Institute hosted "The State of Citizen Security in Mexico: 2014 in Review and the Year Ahead" Jan. 20, 2015.
Senior Andrew Milstead developed his CGIU commitment from his independent study thesis.
Early Judaism scholar Jodi Magness will present a lecture called “Archaeology of Qumran and the Dead Sea Scrolls.”
All 14 undergraduates participating in CGIU are students in the UAB Honors College. Seventeen UAB students will attend.
Students from four schools and nine majors will travel to CGIU in March.
Thirty honors students and faculty traveled to the National Collegiate Honors Council in November.
UAB Professional Studies offers online CEU courses in workplace violence prevention, one of few online programs in the country.
UAB has two Rhodes finalists and one Marshall finalist in 2014.
