UAB lands $19.5 million grant from biotech giant to start kidney transplant research

The latest is a five-year, $19.5 million grant to UAB's Comprehensive Transplant Institute from United Therapeutics Corp. (NASDAQ: UTHR), a public biotech company based in Silver Springs, Maryland.
