The UAB Gospel Choir will present a special Sunday night summer concert with a focus on inspirational music. The Choir will perform favorites by the late Walter Hawkins, Milton Brunson and the legendary Mattie Moss Clark, at 7 p.m. Sunday, July 29, 2012.
“It’s a night of music that stretches from the hits of the 1970s to the brand new music of 2012,” says Kevin P. Turner, D.D., UAB Gospel Choir director. Proceeds from this concert will go towards the live recording scheduled for this fall at our 17th anniversary concert.” All seats are $5 general admission.
The concert will happen at UAB’s Alys Stephens Performing Arts Center, 1200 10th Ave. South. Tickets are available in advance or at the door. Call the UAB Ticket Office at 205-934-8001 or the Alys Stephens Center at 205-975-2787.
The UAB Gospel Choir a class in the UAB Department of Music, and is open to all UAB students regardless of major. One credit hour is earned for participating and registration is required.
