The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Campus Recreation Center now is offering swimming lessons for those ages 6 months and up, including adults. The program is affiliated with Starfish Aquatics Institute, a nationally recognized curriculum for swim instruction that emphasizes water safety and promotes skill development.
Swim instructors are certified trainers through the Institute. Each session consists of five classes. The cost is $35 for members and $45 for non-members. For a detailed list of classes, visit the Campus Recreation website.
