UAB hosting cardiology conference in October

The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Comprehensive Cardiovascular Center (CCVC) will host its second annual symposium focusing on cardiovascular repair and regeneration on Oct. 25 and 26, 2013, at Renaissance Ross Bridge Golf Resort and Spa in Birmingham.

Piero Anversa, M.D., professor at Harvard Medical School and director of the Center of Regenerative Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital at Harvard Medical School will deliver the William W. Featheringill Keynote Lecture at this continuing medical education (CME) event. This year, the UAB CCVC will sponsor a trainee poster session in conjunction with the symposium. Three young investigators will receive awards – including the Featheringill Young Investigator Award – and cash prizes.
