Closing in on goal, cancer study slots still available for Oct. 2-3

UAB's goal is to have 1,201 participate with the intention of breaking the single-site recruitment record of enrolling the most participants.

CPS3UAB faculty/staff and Birmingham community members have answered the call to enroll in the American Cancer Society’s Cancer Prevention Study-3 (CPS-3) taking place Oct. 2-3, 2013, at the UAB Comprehensive Cancer Center, and there are still plenty of appointments available.

Edward Partridge, M.D., director of the Comprehensive Cancer Center and past-president of the ACS, set a goal for UAB: to have 1,201 participate with the intention of breaking the single-site recruitment record of enrolling the most participants. Currently, UAB is on track to meet and potentially beat that goal, and all it takes is signing up at www.cps3birmingham.org before Oct. 3.
