The UAB Gospel Choir keeps a busy performance schedule, with annual spring, fall and summer concerts.
The Essentials is a new, innovative Alys Stephens Center series devoted to honoring the rich history of jazz music and bringing the best artists in contemporary jazz to Birmingham.
The concert at Southside Baptist Church will feature music from a variety of styles and time periods, including works by Mendelssohn, Gretchaninoff, Mawby, Hogan and more.

The UAB Music student and faculty show will offer performances in classical, jazz, gospel and pop, and represent musical heritages from Asia, Europe, Africa and the Americas.
An interdisciplinary collaboration at UAB recently established a research method that has expanded the institution’s capacity to expand initiatives addressing diseases including cancer, autoimmune diseases and degenerative diseases.
