Tyler Huang graduates from UAB with a Bachelor of Science degree in neuroscience and a Master of Science degree in multidisciplinary biomedical sciences with a concentration in neuroscience. He is part of one of the first cohorts finishing an Accelerated Bachelor’s to Master’s.
Sophomore Mira Walker will represent Alabama in the Southern Division MTNA Competition in January. Fellow piano students Eamon Griffith and Jacob Skiles won honorable mentions.

Class of 2017 option 2During her undergraduate experience at UAB, her creative design research focused on building awareness about underprivileged communities in the city. She works with Cayenne Creative.
Class of 2017 option 2A senior in the College of Arts and Sciences’ Department of Music and the Honors College’s University Honors Program, Kasman, pianist, will graduate April 29, then embark on a tour and graduate school.
Sophomore Eamon Griffith of Birmingham won first place in the Young Artist category, while junior Aleksandra Kasman of Vestavia Hills was named the alternate winner.
UAB junior Aleksandra Kasman outplayed 33 talented pianists to win first place at the International Keyboard Institute and Festival.
