UAB to honor Outstanding Women

Six local women will be honored as the UAB Outstanding Women for 2011 during a ceremony Thursday, March 10.
Eleven faculty were honored with the President’s Award for Excellence in Teaching at the annual Faculty Awards Convocation Feb. 23.
UAB’s new Exceptional Innovation Awards will recognize faculty for the impact they have on an academic field or quality of life.
Christy Lievens is a treasure to students wishing to study away. Her knowledge of procedures requirements is invaluable.

Howard Houser, hired in 1965, is one of seven to be honored for 40 years of service at the annual Service Awards Program.

Tamilane Blaudeau was selected as the recipient of the 2010 Odessa Woolfolk Community Service Award.
