The University of Alabama System Board of Trustees approved the conversion of the UAB Department of Orthodontics Endowed Support Fund to the UAB Orthodontic Alumni Endowed Professorship during its June 17, 2011, meeting. The fund was established in 2005 as an intermediate step to an endowed professorship and ultimately an endowed chair.
