Bill Neville, production manager for student media, was recently inducted into the 2011 College Media Association Hall of Fame.
Neville, along with and James Tidwell, chair of the department of journalism at Eastern Illinois University, was bestowed with the association's highest honor at the National College Media Convention in Orlando. Honorees are longtime members “whose dedication, commitment and sacrifice have contributed to the betterment and value of student media programs.”
Neville has served CMA as treasurer and director of marketing and promotions. He is noted for making extensive contributions to CMA committees, publications, convention presentations and workshops. Prior to coming to UAB, he served as coordinator of student media at Georgia Southern University for more than 20 years.
