The University of Alabama System Board of Trustees appointed Erik D. Roberson, M.D., Ph.D., the inaugural holder of the Virginia B. Spencer Endowed Professorship in Neuroscience in the Department of Neurology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) during its meeting Feb. 8, 2013. Roberson joined the UAB faculty in 2008 and is a member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Academy of Neurology.
