The University of Alabama System Board of Trustees approved the establishment of the United Therapeutics Endowed Professorship in Pulmonary Cardiovascular Disease in the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Medicine during its meeting April 12, 2013. The professorship was made possible by a gift from the United Therapeutics Corporation.
