Donna Dunn named president of Alabama ACNM

Dunn previously served as vice president of the ACNM, an organization that leads the nursing profession to establish midwifery as a standard of care.

Donna Dunn, PhD, CNM, FNP-BC, instructor in the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Nursing, has been named president-elect of the Alabama Affiliate of the American College of Nurse-Midwives. Dunn, who was elected president in October, previously served the affiliate as vice president.

The ACNM works to establish midwifery as the standard of care for women. The organization leads the profession through education, clinical practice, research, and advocacy.
