The Arnold and Mabel Beckman Foundation has invited UAB to submit an application to provide funding for undergraduate students to engage in research throughout the academic year. Fifteen UAB faculty members will be chosen as potential mentors. Faculty of any rank in the areas of biology, biochemistry, biomedical engineering, chemistry, neuroscience and related disciplines are eligible.

A previous history of external funding and mentoring undergraduate research that resulted in publications and presentations is desirable.
