Sidney Dobrin, Ph.D., will present a free lecture on “Sustainability, Writing and the Concept of Technology” for the UAB English Alumni Lecture Series at 7 p.m. Oct. 26, 2011, in the Hulsey Recital Hall, 950 13th St. South.
Dobrin, associate professor of English and director of the writing program at the University of Florida, will examine various discussions regarding ecology, writing, new media, visual rhetoric, production and the concept of technology. He is the author and editor of more than a dozen books about writing, ecology and their intersections.
