blazers regions parkUniversity of Alabama at Birmingham Athletics and Alpha Xi Delta will host Blazers on Base with Autism for UAB’s baseball game against Troy University on April 1.

The Blazers on Base event will kick off Autism Awareness Month, which seeks to heighten the community’s understanding of autism and related issues.

The game is scheduled to be a “white-out,” so all in attendance are encouraged to wear white. Official Blazers on Base with Autism shirts are available at Snoozy’s Bookstore for $15. Proceeds from the shirts will go to Autism Speaks.

The April 1 game is at 6:30 p.m. at Regions Field.
