UAB student to conduct research at Oak Ridge laboratory

Recent University of Alabama at Birmingham graduate Holly Williams has received a summer research fellowship at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory.

hollywilliamsoakridge_siteRecent University of Alabama at Birmingham graduate Holly Williams has received a summer research fellowship at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Williams, who earned a bachelor’s degree in computer and information science, will work with a research mentor on a parallel-computing project that focuses on performance analysis. She is a native of McIntosh, Ala.

ORNL is a multi-program science and technology laboratory of the U.S. Department of Energy that conducts research to strengthen the nation’s leadership in key areas of science, increase the availability of clean, abundant energy, restore and protect the environment and contribute to national security.
