Online public health master’s programs ranked nationally

The online MPH from the UAB School of Public Health ranked second out of about 70 programs nationwide.

soph online webThe University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Public Health’s online Master of Public Health degree programs have been ranked second-best in the United States by TopMastersInHealthcare.com out of about 70 online program offerings.

The criteria used for the Top 10 Best Online MPH Programs 2015 list included accreditation, related programs offered,U.S. News & World Report ranking, and tuition. U.S. News & World Report ranks UAB in the top 20 of its overall list of the best MPH degrees.

“We are all very pleased that the SOPH online master’s programs ranked,” said Max Michael, M.D., dean of the UAB School of Public Health. “We have a good group of people working hard at doing these programs.”

The online MPH is a dynamic blend of online content, high-level collaboration with faculty and peers, and real-world experience. This degree is ideal for students who are unable to leave their current employment or relocate to Birmingham for study. The work can generally be completed in two years or less.

Online degrees through the UAB School of Public Health include an MPH in Environmental Health and Toxicology, MPH in Occupational Health and Safety, MPH in Health Care Organization, MPH in Maternal and Child Health Policy and Leadership, and a Coordinated MPH in Maternal and Child Health Policy and Leadership/Master of Social Work Online.
