ChemBridge; July 24-28

The camp promotes students’ interest in and knowledge of chemistry by introducing them to principles, methods, applications, and experiments used in chemistry research laboratories.

ChemBridge provides area eighth-grade graduates with an exciting journey into big-time chemistry, including stimulating hands-on experiments, great UAB faculty and staff to help with understanding of the chemistry behind the experiments, and preparation for the high school experience. ChemBridge is a partnership between the UAB Department of Chemistry and UAB CORD. The camp promotes students’ interest in and knowledge of chemistry by introducing them to principles, methods, applications, and experiments used in chemistry research laboratories.

Ages: Rising high school freshmen

Dates: July 24-28; 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

Cost: $50 registration, $150 tuition, limited number of scholarships available
