The Pink Day- Race for the Cure Kickoff

On September 26, 2011 The Rural Breast Cancer Survivors Study Team and the UAB School of Nursing Student Nursing Association sponsored "The Pink Day- Race for the Cure Kickoff" in the Learning Resource Center Lobby. Students, staff and Faculty wore pink to show their support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the LRC lobby was awash in pink!

Participants received pink breast cancer ribbons, breast cancer education materials, snacks and a chance to win one of many door prizes.

Contributions to our 2011 Pink October activities raised more than $250 in donations to the North Central Alabama Susan G. Komen for the Cure organization.
