Tampa and Naples, Florida
On January 24th and 25th, the UAB School of Nursing, Duke School of Nursing and The Johns Hopkins School of Nursing co-sponsored a luncheon for alumni and friends in Tampa and Naples.  The goal was to engage in meaningful dialogue about the changing role of nurses in disease prevention and coordination of health care.

We were proud to have local nursing leaders, Linda Gibson-Young, PhD ’11, MSN ’03 and Vicky Stone-Gale, DNP ’11 represent the UAB SON for a panel discussion about the changing role of nurses in health care at the events. Click to learn more.

Daphne, Alabama

On September 27, 2011, alumni reconneted over a delicious lunch and beautiful view of Mobile Bay at the home of Ms. Vidmer Downing.  Dean Doreen Harper and Associate Dean of Clinical Affairs, Dr. Cynthia Selleck, shared updates about the School's impact and vision.

Montgomery, Alabama

On April 5, 2011, alumni and friends gathered at the home of Board of Visitor member Pam Miller for a wonderful evening.  Dean Doreen C. Harper shared exciting updates about the School as alumni reconnected with one another and their alma mater.

Tusacaloosa, Alabama

Carolyn, a member of the School's Board of Visitors, and her husband Jim Boone, warmly welcomed over twenty alumni and friends of the UAB School of Nursing to their home on March 30, 2011.  It was a wonderful evening reconnecting so many alumni with one another and learning about significant achievements and projects occurring at the School from Dean, Doreen C. Harper.

Naples, Florida
UAB School of Nursing (SON) partnered with Duke University SON and Johns Hopkins University SON for an Alumni Gathering at the Moorings Country Club on January 20th, 2011. Attendees enjoyed a delicious lunch and conversation with all three Deans while connecting with fellow local nursing alumni.
