Technology, Simulation and Equipment
Our simulation laboratories allow students to participate in “mock” real-life clinical scenarios through the use of computerized programs and mannequins that mimic all the symptoms of real patients. Through simulation, students can learn basic and advanced nursing skills in situations ranging from basic care to life and death. In the simulation lab, students can make mistakes and learn from them without doing harm. Students learn and practice skills in the simulated environment, which prepares them to apply this learning when they enter the practice setting. We have outgrown our labs and need additional mannequins and simulation equipment to provide adequate learning opportunities for our growing number of students.
