Billy L. Alexander, President
Billy graduated with his BSN from UAB School of Nursing in 2011. After graduation, Billy has worked in a variety of nursing roles both at UAB and as a traveling ICU nurse. He currently works for the Division of Cardiology in the Cardiovascular Clinical Trial Unit at UAB as a Research Nurse Coordinator. Billy is pursuing his MSN in Nursing and Health Systems Administration and will graduate in April of 2017. After graduation Billy plans to start work on his DNP and continue to grow and mature a nurse leader.
Brandy M. Lackey, President-Elect
Brandy was commissioned as an officer in the Air Force upon graduating from the University of Alabama in 2001. While in the Air Force, she served in variety of settings, both in the U.S. and in the Middle East, in Medical-Surgical, Emergency Medicine, and Family Practice. She has also served in a variety of roles from staff nurse, Project Manager, Trauma Bay Chief, Sexual Assault Advocate, and Nurse Manager. She is currently in the Family Nurse Practitioner and Primary Care Scholar Program and lives in the greater Montgomery, Alabama area.
Jacqueline B. Vo, Treasurer
Jacqueline is a second year Doctor in Philosophy (PhD) student at the UAB School of Nursing. After graduating with her BSN, Jacqueline worked in the UAB Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit. Her doctoral work and research interest explores cardiovascular disease risk among breast cancer survivors. Jacqueline is a research assistant to Dr. Karen Meneses and works with breast cancer survivors in the Young Breast Cancer Survivorship Network, Think Well: Healthy Living to Improve Cognitive Function, SurviveAL, and the Speed of Processing in Middle Aged and Older Breast Cancer Survivors.
