Biography
Nanci Swan is nursing instructor in the Adult/Acute Health Chronic Care & Foundations Department. Currently she is the course manager for NUR 345L Nursing Assessment Skills and co-teaches in NUR 370 Pharmacology. She continues to work as a PRN nurse in the Trauma/Burn ICU at UAB hospital where she has worked since 2002.

Research/Clinical Interest
Research and clinical interest focus on use of simulation in nursing programs to teach successful students, use of simulation in the hospital for purpose of competency testing as well as teaching about low incident/high acuity patients, and the improvement of pre-burn center care of a patient with burns.
